Surprise Party VBS Volunteer Registration

SURPRISE! It's Surprise Party VBS! Let's teach kids all about the unexpected grace of Jesus! 

When Jesus throws a party, He defies all expectations. Sinners are befriended, strays are celebrated, and rebellious failures are embraced. In a house full of uninvited guests, the best seats are reserved for those least deserving. The book of Luke is full of parties. Not only does Jesus regularly attend dinners, banquets, and celebrations - He also talks about parties a lot! And His messages about parties all contain a SURPRISE! 

During Surprise Party VBS, kids will learn...
- Jesus has unexpected grace for unexpected people. 
- Jesus wants us to share His unexpected grace with everyone. 
- God has unexpected grace for those who are far from Him.
- Everyone is invited to the unexpected grace of Jesus. 

Please note that this year's VBS format will look slightly different. This year's rotations include Bible with Pastor Taylor, Missions where we will complete local service projects each day, and Games/Snack. Group leaders will still oversee a specific group of kids and they will lead discussion questions and various interactions with their crew throughout each station. 

Additionally, in lieu of volunteer t-shirts, we will be having theme dress-up nights each evening and volunteers are highly encouraged to participate! 

Monday - Party Hats 
Tuesday - Slumber Party 
Wednesday - Party Animals 
Thursday - Costume Party 

Volunteers are expected to arrive at The River by 5:30 each evening to be prepared to welcome kids. All supplies and materials will be prepped ahead of time and shared with ample time for you to learn your role!
